As much as I want all of us to be eating fresh whole foods all the time, the fact remains that we sometimes use convenience foods to round out our meals. Understanding what the nutrition label on the back of the package and the marketing claims on the front of the package mean will help you make informed choices about what to feed yourself and your family.
I'll be writing a blog post on this subject shortly, but in the meantime, check out the article that was featured in Cheshire Citizen about the talk I did on understanding what food labels mean: http://www.cheshirecitizen.com/news/allnews/8366548-129/health-coach-helps-make-sense-of-food-labels.html.
What you'll learn will surprise you. Remember - An educated consumer is a healthy consumer.
